Conference Themes

is the seventh event in the International Conference on E-Governance (ICEG). ICEG-2010 aims to provide a forum for discussing research findings, strategies, policies, and technologies in the field of e-governance. Drawing from the deliberations, this conference intends to lay down the agenda for future research & activities relating to E-Governance.

The major theme of the 7th International Conference on E-Governance will be Public Health since Public Health is an extremely important component of good governance. The conference program will be organized into the following overall themes but not limited to:

A significant milestone in the e-governance arena, the conference promises to be an invigorating confluence of the best brains from academia and industry. Scientists, faculty, and students from prestigious universities across the globe have expressed a keen desire to be part of this mammoth event, as have industry practioners, government officials, policy experts and other experts working in the social development sectors.

With the rapid growth in cellular communication in most developing countries, it is pertinent to study why governance cannot be provided at the "doorstep" of the citizens. So, the key emphasis of ICEG-2010 will be on the transition from E-Governance to M-Governance (Mobile Governance) and to provide a global platform for a debate on people-centric applications of mobile communication and computing technologies by drawing on the experiences of researchers and policy experts worldwide.

The three-day conference offers attendees a holistic educational and industry experience, with the following opportunities:
  • Plenary sessions with keynote presentations by experts on sectoral themes
  • Half-day Industry sessions & Tutorials
  • Thought-provoking paper presentation sessions running along three tracks
  • A Best Paper award for each track
  • A Doctoral Forum for PhD Students
