Doctoral Forum
ICEG-2010 is also organizing a Doctoral Forum which will provide a platform for doctoral students from various academic institutions to present their dissertation work in progress and exchange ideas with experts from other academic and research institutions and industry practitioners. A panel of distinguished researchers from academia and industry will preside over the Doctoral Forum to provide research-specific feedback and guidance on methodology to the students.
The Doctoral Forum is designed for advanced doctoral students who have completed all required qualifying exams and have a well-defined dissertation topic that they plan to pursue. This Doctoral Forum will be a half-day event comprising short student presentations followed by a discussion led by the panel.
Submissions to the Doctoral Forum from eligible students must include:
-
A summary of the student's dissertation research (2-3 pages) that includes motivation, related work, initial results and proposed work.
-
Participants can also submit the abstract of the full papers submitted to the main conference for the Doctoral Forum.
-
Two best papers from Doctoral Students will be selected and awarded in the Doctoral Forum.
-
A brief Curriculum Vitae of the doctoral student (limited to 1 page) describing the applicant's educational / professional background and research.
