ICEG-2011 is the eighth event in series. It aims to provide a forum for discussing research findings, strategies, policies, and technologies in the field of e-governance. Drawing from the deliberations, this conference intends to lay down the agenda for future research & activities.

About ICEG:
First International Conference on e-Governance (ICEG) was inaugurated by the Hon�ble President Dr. Kalam in 2003 as a Chief Guest. In 2004, the conference was hosted at Colombo by the Government of Sri Lanka, with the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Shri SL Rajapakse as the Chief Guest. In 2005, it was organized at Lahore by the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Since 2006, Special Interest Group on e-Governance of Computer Society of India (CSI) has been an active partner with IIT Delhi in co hosting ICEG. ICEG-2006 was the fourth event in the series held during 15-17 December 2006 at IIT Delhi. CSI SIGeGov along with University of Hyderabad conducted ICEG-2007. In Dec 2008 again ICEG-2008 was held in IIIT Delhi. The seventh event ICEG-2010 was held at IIM Bangalore with focus on Health Care and Microfinance in Apr 2010.
For Whom?
A significant milestone in the e-governance arena, the conference promises to be an invigorating confluence of the best brains from the academia and the industry. Scientists, faculty, and students from prestigious universities across the globe have expressed a keen desire to be part of this mammoth event. Major information technology solution providers have assured industry participation. And most importantly, key government officers and NGO/ community volunteers have guaranteed strong representation of the user community. Given the presence and support of experts across the globe, the conference promises to be an important opportunity of sharing research findings and learning from current e-governance experiments.
The delegates will have opportunity to attend sessions in “Knowledge Sharing Summit (KSS-2011)” being hosted by CSI and Government of Gujarat.
Who Designs the Conference Program?
An International Advisory Committee (IAC), comprising international experts and representatives from the government as well as the industry, will guide the development of the conference program. A Program Committee (PC) will supplement the activities of IAC including identification of moderators and speakers, as well as the agenda for the conferences. It will manage the parallel track sessions and drive the review process. The Organizing Committee (OC) will ensure the smooth implementation of the planned agenda on a day-to-day basis.
