International Congress of E-government (ICEG) was founded in the year 2006 as society of individuals and organizations dedicated for the knowledge creation and promotion of e-government world over. It is currently conceived as an Strategic Professional Unit of an already established society 'Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management' (http://www.giftsociety.org). The need of this society was felt after the three successful International conferences on e-governance, first held in year 2003 at IIT Delhi, second in 2004 at the University of Colombo and the third in 2005 at the University of Management Sciences at Lahore.
